With signed contract in hand, I can now officially announce that my teen spy novel, The Boy Who Knew Too Much<\/em>, has been picked up by Intrigue Publishing<\/a> and probably will see print (and e-print) in 2015.<\/p>\n

When I was in college I took a course in magazine publishing, and as a project we had to create a business plan for a magazine along with articles for the first issue and a mock-up of the cover, etc. I wanted to create an espionage-themed magazine called Intrigue<\/em>. That should explain one of the reasons I am happy to sign with Intrigue Publishing. I\u2019ve always liked the name.<\/p>\n

I am pleased and proud that to share the news of this book deal. It was a long time coming, and after being rejected by agents again and again, the email offering me a contract felt like a miracle.<\/p>\n

I am grateful to the many people who have helped me along the way. The family and friends who kept encouraging me and my wife for remaining a patient advocate. Several people offered good advice and research assistance as I worked on the book, as well as the always crucial editing. I certainly need to thank the folks at Intrigue Publishing for having faith in my novel.<\/p>\n

This is, of course, a major step toward publication, but I still have a long way to go. There is more editing to be done and the inevitable corrections, because I\u2019m not perfect. And then comes the tough job of actually selling the book.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll keep blogging about it throughout the process, and by the time the book is in the stores I hope you\u2019ll be eager to meet Brian Parker, the boy who knew too much.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
